FRIDAY FAVOURITES // ONE PIECE SWIMSUITS

About 8 years ago I bought a beautiful one piece bathing suit from a local boutique. It was 50's style polka dot and it was actually flattering!! It's worn out in the butt so I can't get away with wearing it anymore, so I'm on the hunt for a new one. PTL you can now buy beautiful one pieces that actually look good...we've come along way!

How cute are those suits? I think my favourite is the black & white geometric print one. Hope you have a fabulous weekend! We head back to Canada tomorrow at 5am...yaaaay! I am honestly soo excited to get home...cuddles with Coco, running with a cool ocean breeze, church, friends, my bed...can't hardly wait.

p.s. I have A LOT to say on the topic of swimsuits/body image but I didn't want to write a hurried post. Last week, I heard of this thing called the "bikini bridge" and I got LIVID. I'll be posting more on body image next week...until then, love who you are and enjoy the beach without shame!!! 

JULY 4TH THREADS

Happy July 4th American friends! As I stated last week, it's no secret that I'm a MASSIVE fan of the USA. Just by looking through my wardrobe you can see my great love for your stars and stripes. (I own an american flag bikini, shorts, tank and sweatshirt..lols)

CANADA DAY THREADS

It's no secret that I'm a massive fan of the USA. (I expressed my hear felt love back in 2010 on this post!!) BUT I'd like you to know I am proud to be a Canadian. I really, really, really, love my country. Though, when it comes to fashion, I find it way easier to dress fashionably for July 4th than July 1st. Red and white usually ain't my thang but (after an intense online search) I managed to find some red & white threads that will be perfect for celebrating my beautiful nation.

FRIDAY FAVES | MY BEACH ESSENTIALS

Hands up if you're going to the beach today?

You can bet your bottom dollar my hand is up. Want to hear what I got planned today? Lake run, grocery shop (yes, I'll be picking up a $4.44 peony bouquet from Rootcellar) and then BEAAACCCHHHHHH all afternoon. I'm grabbing my library book, filling my sip sip tumbler full of ice water and then heading to the beach to read and tan for hours on hours....YES. TGIF.

FRIDAY FAVES | SUMMER IPHONE CASES

I got my first cell phone in grade 9. Back then camera phones did not exist, nobody ever texted and the best game was Snake. However, even though the cell phone world didn't have a whole lot to offer, it was important for me to find a cute cover (which was a sparkly chameleon purple to green cover).

Oh how the times have changed.

Now people usually only use their phone as their camera, prefer texting over talking and have a billion amazing games to choose from. But it's still important for me to find a cute cover.
